Engen’s newly opened Ikhwezi Convenience Centre in Mthatha is the largest Engen 1Plus service station in the Engen stable. It also offers a diverse range of fast food, including a Steers, Debonairs Pizza, Corner Bakery, and Fishaways, as well as groceries from a Quickshop.
“The people of Mthata are thrilled by all the variety on offer. The location of the site is also ideal as it attracts locals as well as passing commuters,” said owner Mava Mkukwana.
The centre on the corner of Spring and Tutor Ndamasa streets also offers a range of services to heavy-duty vehicles and trucks.
Engen’s Head of Retail, Seelan Naidoo said the company was “excited to see our network flourishing. Convenience and customer service remain key determinants of success in our industry.” Engen Managing Director and CEO Yusa’ Hassan, said the company continued to focus on investing much effort into remaining an attractive destination for customers’ fuel and convenience needs.
“It is therefore important for Engen to continually seek relevant and innovative spaces where we can interact with our customers meaningfully. Engen Ikhwezi is the perfect example of this,” Hassan said.
