FLEXIBLE design features of HPE Africa’s range of Hyundai Construction Equipment – which includes wheel loaders, wheeled and tracked excavators, backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders – enable efficient operation in diverse applications, including tough conditions.
That’s according to Alex Ackron, managing director of HPE Africa, exclusive distributors locally for Hyundai Construction Equipment, who cited the recent example of
R80-7 midi excavators being used in the Cape Winelands district to remove old stumps in vineyards, where there is limited working space.
“The conventional system normally used to remove old stumps, is to attach a chain around each stump and to pull it out with a tractor, which is a very time-consuming extraction method,” Ackron said.
“Daniller Grondwerke – a plant hire company specialising in agricultural tilling – claims that by using a high-performance Hyundai R80-7 excavator, removal of stubborn roots is quick, efficient and safe.”
“This robust machine, with a high power Tier 2 fuel efficient engine that provides 25,2 kgf-m of maximum torque at 2 100 rpm of rated power, is one of the most powerful machines in its class. An advanced hydraulic system ensures smooth performance and easy control for precise operations,” the company said in a statement.
“The operator’s cab is a wide comfortable operating space, with low noise levels and excellent visibility for improved safety. The cab has reinforced pillars for greater rigidity and all controls are conveniently positioned, according to the latest ergonomic requirements.”
Ground line access to components ensures easy and convenient maintenance.
“HPE Africa’s national branch network is supported by well-equipped spares and workshop facilities. The company also offers maintenance programmes which are carried out in line with planned downtime schedules. Operator training ensures optimum performance and extended life from every machine,” the company said.
