LOCAL business Second Office, the first virtual office, meeting and conference space in East London, announced this week that their conferencing facility has just received a 4-star rating by the Tourism Grading Council of SA (TGCSA) under the Meetings, Exhibitions, and Special Events (MESE) Category.
The rating recognises Second Office’s conference facilities according to strict criteria, which include easy access, quality fittings and furnishings, cleanliness and the availability of support services such as break-away rooms, state-of-the-art equipment and administrative support.
“We are very proud of this rating from TGCSA,” said Sibongile Booi, founder of Second Office. “We have invested intensively in providing affordable office, meeting and conference space on flexible terms to local companies who may need professional space on a short-term basis as well as national companies looking for a local presence without long-term commitments.”
Booi said their conference and meeting facilities – as well as their office space – are ideally situated in a secure A-grade building with ample parking space in Donald Road, Vincent.
The conference facilities can comfortably host up to 40 delegates and furnishings can be configured to each client’s requirements, whether U-shape, class room or cinema style seating.
The facilities feature modern technology and communication linkages such as video-conferencing equipment, computers and high-speed internet, and also offer administrative support, business services and catering.
The conference and meeting facilities are available at hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or longer-term rentals.
“We are very pleased that an independent, national grading body has recognised the value we offer and our ability to deliver the ideal solution to a growing number of clients, ranging from small businesses to government departments and from corporates to educational institutions such as Milpark, who use our facilities and its computer equipment as an examination venue.
“This rating places us on par with some of the best-known conference venues around the country and later this year our Eastern Cape facilities will be showcased at the Tourism Indaba in KwaZulu-Natal. We have already set our sights higher and we are working towards an even better rating as our conference facility is re-assessed by TGCSA each year,” Booi said.
